Why Read Sowing Surrender?

The Story Behind Sowing Surrender

Sowing Surrender was born from a deeply personal wilderness season. During a season of caregiving, God used ordinary moments, difficult circumstances, and time in His Word to reveal areas of surrender, trust, and spiritual growth. What began as personal conviction eventually became a message about cultivating hearts where God's Word can take root and bear lasting fruit.

The weekend I visited my dad to ask for forgiveness. Since then, our relationship has continued to grow.

While full-time caregiving for my mother-in-law, I would take here on daily outings around the town. Ice cream was her favorite treats.

Celebrating my mother-in-law Janet’s birthday. She always enjoyed collecting birthday buttons with her name on them.

Celebrating the holidays with my wife Nancy and my mother-in-law Janet. Along with Christmas, Easter was especially meaningful to her because of the grace Jesus showed through the cross.

My mother-in-law Janet loved Disneyland from childhood through adulthood, and Goofy’s Kitchen was always one of her favorite places to eat.
